With some great road trip options in the surrounding area, having your own car makes sense. Without one, it’d be much harder to explore all that Gabrovo, 17 miles away, has to offer. Among the first stops you make here ought to be Etâr Ethnographic Village Museum, Museum of Satire and Humor and Church of the Holy Trinity. Locals will also probably point you in the direction of Kazanlak, 25 miles away. If you only have time for one attraction here, make sure it’s Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak. (But we’d also recommend Shipchenski monastery and Kulata Ethnological Complex.)
