Harpenden is a few miles outside of the center of St Albans, so there’s a high chance you’ll be doing a fair amount of driving. If you’re planning to use Harpenden as a base to explore the city and its surrounds, rent a smaller set of wheels. Nothing beats a mini for squeezing into those crowded downtown parking spots. Alternatively, if you’re moving away from the bright lights and traffic, go for something with a bigger engine and more room to move. Not many visitors regret spending that little bit extra on a premium or a full-size car.
