Kumamoto has a huge range of things to see and do. You’ll obviously want to tick off the top attractions, but you also can’t miss the nearby bays that Japan is known for. Our advice is to rent something that will take you from city jaunts to road trips, like a standard vehicle. Collect your shiny set of wheels from Kumamoto Airport (KMJ), travel the 9 miles to the downtown area, and explore to your heart’s content. Once you’re done, get out of the center and spend time in the great outdoors. Just remember to send us some postcards on the way.
