Grab your luggage, exit Lima Airport (LIM-Jorge Chavez Intl.), and pick up your rental car. Which one you slide into depends on where you plan to go. If you’ll be primarily driving in downtown Lima, around 5 miles from the terminal, choose something small and zippy. A compact car with nimble handling will be perfect for those busy city streets. But with a wealth of things to see, like the glorious cliffs of the region, you’ll probably be racking up those miles. A bigger vehicle, like a full-size car or an SUV, will make longer road trips more comfortable.
