The joy of having your own ride is that you can travel where you want, when you want. Make full use of your freedom by discovering all that there is to do in Big Stone Gap. It’s just 35 miles away. Crooked Road Heritage Music Trail, Southwest Virginia Museum and The Trail of the Lonesome Pine Outdoor Drama alone make the drive out worthwhile. Locals will also probably point you in the direction of Greeneville, 55 miles away. If you only have time for one thing here, make sure it’s Andrew Johnson National Historic Site. (But we’d also recommend James-Ben: Studio & Gallery Art Center and City Garage Car Museum.)
