In Yoroushi Onsen, it’s a punishable offence to operate a vehicle with a BAC (blood alcohol content) of more than 0.03%. If you’re planning to have a few drinks over dinner, leave the car at your hotel.

You aren’t permitted to turn at a red light in Yoroushi Onsen. When you come across one, enjoy a mindful moment or two until the signal turns green.

Seat belts should always be worn in Nakashibetsu. That being said, this rule may not apply for some vehicles, such as those used by public transportation networks.
